I'm Freckles...Hi!
I'm Freckles...
I belong to a family of four. I have a boy and
a girl to play with, that is, when I'm not being overly excitable and jumping
all over them. Sometimes they get rough with me, too, but I can handle it. I was
once a pound puppy, but after I got back in shape I put on 10 pounds and now I'm
one happy puppy.
My new family knows by now that my old family
(most likely) got rid of me because I'm a compulsive chewer. I eat
e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g: my doghouse, 2x4s, my toys, plants, my bed, rugs, my lead,
electrical wires, my crate....you name it. But, I'm always sorry when caught.
Though
I'm part Bassett, short and stocky, I am very agile and able to jump up onto
just about anything. I'm quicker than a cat and I love to stalk birds,
squirrels, and lizards. Those lizards are really fun because I actually get hold
of them (my master doesn't like this because he says they eat bugs). I also have
a friend named Fred. She is a very bold box turtle that I happen to be very
curious about. My family can't leave me alone with her because they are afraid I
will use her as a chew toy. Now, would I do that?!
Well,
I'll be saying ta-ta for now.....being the athletic type that I am, and
constantly on the go, I do need an occasional nap.
